The Museum of Games and Computers of the Past Era (Muzeum Gry i Komputery Minionej Ery) is a fan initiative created by us – enthusiasts of old games and hardware, along with our friends and family – operating as a non-profit foundation. Behind its creation was the desire to share our passion and collections with as many people as possible, and to spark at least a bit of our enthusiasm in them.

The central idea of the Museum is to bridge the inseparable histories of video entertainment and computer science. Thus, we created a place where you can not only admire unique technical exhibits displayed in glass cases, but also discover games firsthand by playing them yourself at nearly fifty different stations (featuring computers, consoles, and arcade machines).

Thanks to our hard work and commitment, after years of organizing exhibitions and events under the RetroGralnia initiative, we succeeded in opening Poland’s first museum dedicated to both video games and the history of computers and IT in September 2017.

RetroGralnia is an initiative established in 2010 aimed at bringing the history of video games and computers closer to everyone interested—focusing particularly on the first few decades of their existence—and preserving as much hardware and other exhibits from that era as possible for future generations.

Prior to the creation of the Muzeum GiKME (Museum of Games and Computers of the Past Era), RetroGralnia was involved in organizing lectures and talks at festivals, conventions, and exhibitions, setting up themed rooms and displays at various events, as well as hosting numerous exhibitions and gatherings.

Currently, RetroGralnia pursues its mission through its YouTube channel, where you can find a wide range of videos dedicated to the history of games, computers, and video consoles, as well as hardware reviews and overviews, alongside coverage of retrogaming and retro-computing events and exhibitions.

Games & Vintage Days Wrocław, organized by the Foundation of Games and Computers of the Past Era (Fundacja Gry i Komputery Minionej Ery), is formally a side event of the NiuCon Japanese Fair and will be jointly ticketed with it. NiuCon is a recurring event held since 2008 that takes various forms – a festival, a convention, and currently a trade fair. It was originally co-founded by, among others, the creators of RetroGralnia and the CoolKon convention (which was the birthplace of RetroGralnia). In the Japanese hall, you can expect traditional and pop culture exhibitors, an artist alley, as well as an extensive food zone.
